Confidentiality Statement

In these times of Cloud computing and globalisation, privacy and confidentiality has become the concern of our times, and for good reason. The where, what and how the data we have is stored and used is of prime importance. We take it very seriously.

These are the things we undertake that underpin our commitment to you:

  • All our staff sign confidentiality agreements with us that protects your information during their time at BBB and when they leave us. This covers information in all its forms
  • We would prosecute any breaches of confidentiality with court action
  • We ask that staff disclose all potential conflicts of interest when they start and during their time with us so that they can be discussed and actioned if necessary
  • We don’t discuss specifics regarding your information to anyone other than with related parties (you’re your Accountant, the ATO, for example) and only with your permission
  • Internally we discuss your account in acronyms (BBB – not Better Business Basics) so that outsiders don’t know who we’re talking about
  • In compiling benchmarking information and industry knowledge, all information and data is in anonymous form and we analyse the data in terms of patterns, averages and comparisons on this basis
  • All information we have stored in our internal CRM systems are protected by the same systems used by Microsoft
  • All our systems require log-ins by staff. These are changed regularly and when there is a change of staff and is user-level protected, so that only those who need to work with your information can access it
  • We ensure we are across changes to Privacy Law and regularly update our internal policies to ensure that we comply
  • You can see all the data we hold relating to you at any time
